Show Me The Money

Internship or job?
Online or print?
Business or sports?
I guess I should have done a better job of answering these questions for myself before I went to NABJ last week in Indy.
It was my first convention and my first job fair period. I don't know how I managed to escape them for as long as I did but I wasn't sure really want to expect from recruiters.
Going into it, I wasn't looking for an internship for the most part. I am comfortable where I am currently and there are no jobs that are going to match the pay of what I'm getting now.
But I guess the reason why I spent all three days at the fair was in preparation for when I graduate (Don't ask when - I think Winter 07).
I can't exactly tell you what I want to do after school.
I know I want to write.
And write sports.
But I'm not against business reporting or doing the online thing either.
Hell, I'll say it. Whatever pays the most, honestly.
The fair was also productive in the sense of I needed to get my ego a reality check.
I don't think I'm that cocky though sometimes it appears that way but I know I have a pretty good resume but wanted to get a sense on the strength of my clips.
Nothing worse than sitting down with the one recruiter you wanted to meet all weekend and she finds a typo in a story.
D'oh.
It was a humbling experience to say the least but nobody is perfect, right?
For the record, starring is spelled with two r's, not r.
